PAUL H. STROPKAY, CFA
President, Director
Paul has nearly 30 years of professional experience and has managed portfolios as large as $1.4 billion for families and institutions. He is responsible for formulating investment strategy, implementing investment management services, and overseeing compliance programs.
Paul’s prior experience as Chief Investment Officer for a large foundation and for an ultra-high-net-worth family resulted in relationships with investment managers across America, in Canada, and in the United Kingdom that are valued by clients of Sapphire. Paul holds a degree in English from Miami University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Case Western Reserve University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2006 and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society New York.
Paul serves on the board of Citizens Bank and its parent, Rockcastle Bancorp. He resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife, two sons, and one terrier.

GREG T. WATKINS, CIMA

Greg has over 25 years of professional experience, including roles with some of the largest financial services companies in the country. His commitment to serving clients as a fiduciary is evident in his daily work and in his decision to join Sapphire. In addition to serving institutions and high-net-worth clients in client-facing roles, Greg has extensive experience in manager due diligence, business process improvement, portfolio management, and trading.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Kentucky with a concentration in Finance. He earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation in 2007 as the result of an immersive executive education program at The Wharton School.
Greg resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife, son, daughter, and two rescue dogs.
